About this Apprenticeship
To support the road operations team at the Gelsenkirchen motorway maintenance depot, Autobahn GmbH is looking for a road maintenance worker (m/f/d) or road builder (m/f/d) as soon as possible. Pay follows pay group E6 of the TV-Autobahn.
What You'll Learn
- Carry out repair, upkeep, maintenance, care and cleaning work on the road body, ancillary facilities and road equipment (e.g. road surface repairs and surface treatments, paving, marking work, installation, maintenance and cleaning of traffic guidance devices)
- Set up, maintain and inspect traffic signs
- Secure and inspect work and accident sites, traffic safety
- Green space and shrub care
- Carry out winter service work on the assigned federal motorways and ancillary facilities
Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training as a road maintenance worker (m/f/d) or road builder (m/f/d)
- Experience in road operations is welcome
- Driver's licence class B (mandatory) and CE required, plus willingness to drive company vehicles
- Physical fitness and health suitability for road maintenance and year-round physical work outdoors
- Willingness to work shifts and be on call in winter and summer service
- Performance and commitment
- Strong sense of responsibility and safety, reliability
- Enjoy working in a team
- Manual skill, good technical understanding and quick comprehension
