About this Apprenticeship
Help keep the motorway network safe at the Herrenberg motorway maintenance depot. Inspect and remove hazards, maintain signs and roadside greenery, and carry out winter maintenance.
What You'll Learn
- Repair, maintain, service, care for and clean roads, associated facilities and road equipment
- Carry out winter maintenance
- Take part in summer and winter on-call duties
- Install, maintain and inspect traffic signs
- Secure and inspect roadworks and accident sites, and manage traffic safety
- Maintain greenery, shrubs and trees
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a road maintenance worker or road builder
- Category CE driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles
- Practical skills and a good technical understanding
- Willingness to work shifts during winter maintenance in a 24-hour operation, be on call, and work nights during summer maintenance
- Physical stamina and fitness for physical outdoor work throughout the year
