Production Assistant in Metalworking – Baunatal Workshops, Harzweg

To strengthen our team in the Work Division of Baunatal Diakonie Kassel e.V., we have a position as Production Assistant in metalworking at the Baunatal Workshops' Harzweg site. The role is part-time at 38 hours per week, initially limited to two years (possible extension). The duty station is in Baunatal. In the metal processing and industrial assembly area at the Harzweg branch, about 100 people with intellectual or multiple disabilities work. They perform machining tasks (turning, milling, grinding) for regional clients.

• Operate machines after instruction and according to guidelines in metalworking (e.g., saws, lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, etc.)
• Cut and process materials per order, i.e., independently complete simple production orders
• Load, clamp, and unload workpieces according to work instructions
• Ensure internal material logistics (raw materials/finished goods/storage locations)
• Ensure smooth material flow within the production area
• Monitor manufacturing process and detect irregularities or malfunctions
• Perform quality assurance measures
• Participate in implementing group-related production sequences and production controls
• Maintain order and cleanliness at the workplace
• Support team colleagues in their tasks

• Professional experience in metalworking / technical field desired
