Speech Therapist

The Vocational Training Center of the District of Middle Franconia for Hearing, Speech, and Learning is a supra-regional facility for the vocational rehabilitation of young people with special support needs under § 51 SGB IX. Your tasks: Diagnostics to determine support needs, development of speech therapy test procedures and therapy materials, individual support in one-on-one and small group settings, preparation for oral and written intermediate and final examinations, speech therapy counseling for participants, staff, and relatives, administrative tasks such as documentation, concept development, and reports, internal cooperation with specialist services, cooperation with external speech therapists and physicians, coordination of speech therapy support appointments, promotion of grammatical and syntactic structures, hearing training for hearing impairments, promotion of linguistic, articulatory, and communicative skills, training of auditory memory.

Diagnostics to determine support needs, development of speech therapy test procedures and therapy materials, individual support in one-on-one and small group settings, exam preparation, speech therapy counseling, administrative tasks (documentation, concept development, reports), internal and external cooperation, coordination of support appointments, promotion of grammatical and syntactic structures, hearing training, promotion of linguistic and communicative skills, auditory memory training.

Completed training as a state-recognized speech therapist (f/m/d) or completed bachelor's degree in speech therapy with state recognition. Professional experience working with disabled people, preferably in vocational rehabilitation. Openness towards people with special needs and disabilities. Appreciative and empathetic attitude. Experience with hearing/speech-impaired and/or learning-disabled people an advantage. Additional qualification in rehabilitation pedagogy (ReZA) or willingness to acquire it. Knowledge of German Sign Language or willingness to acquire it. Commitment, teamwork, cooperation, flexibility, independent work style. Class B driving license an advantage. Proof of measles immunity, extended certificate of good conduct.
