Intern Concepts and Basic Design of Electric Drive Machines

Our Electric Drive Machine Concepts and Basic Design team at the BMW Group develops and optimizes key components for modern electric vehicles. These components significantly influence a vehicle's dynamics and consumption and contribute to achieving climate targets. As part of your internship, you will support our team with this design work.

• You support our team in developing and calculating function- and cost-optimized drives of future generations.
• You support the creation of methods for designing innovative transmission solutions to meet requirements, through calculation, modeling and simulation.
• You also gain insight into our team's daily operations.

• Studies in vehicle engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or a comparable degree program.
• Master's studies already begun.
• In-depth knowledge of machine elements and drive system technology.
• First experience with finite element software, e.g. ANSYS or Abaqus.
• Skilled use of 3D CAD systems, e.g. Catia V5.
• Advanced programming skills, e.g. Python or C#, and strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Business-fluent German and good English skills.
