Intern in Connection Technologies for HV Electrical System Development

The BMW Group team for high-voltage electrical systems researches and evaluates various connection technologies. During the internship, you will support research, testing, and analysis for the further development of high-voltage wiring harnesses and ultrasonically welded aluminum-copper connections.

• You support extensive research on current connection technologies in the high-voltage wiring system
• You help identify and evaluate possible influencing factors on the metal ultrasonic welding process (M-USS)
• You support the planning of a parameter study as part of statistical design of experiments
• You prepare tests on test benches and support their execution and evaluation
• You gain insight into the complexity of HV wiring harness development
• You support the planning and execution of diffusion tests on ultrasonically welded aluminum-copper mixed joints

• Studies in mechanical engineering, engineering sciences, economics, materials science or similar
• Ability to quickly grasp and structure complex issues
• Confident use of MS Office applications
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Cross-process thinking and acting
• Interest in scientific questions and methods
• Fluent German and English
