Senior System Engineer Active Directory

As the primary digitalisation partner of the Bundeswehr, BWI provides stable, secure and efficient IT services. The Identity-driven-Infrastructure (IDI) department is responsible for the administration and operation of Active Directory environments, both internally and in customer environments, including DNS, Federation Services, DHCP and Lightweight Directory Services.

• Operation and handling of administrative tasks in the Active Directory environment
• Second level activities in the fault clearing and problem handling process
• Support in creating high-level and detailed concepts
• Monitoring and maintenance of the server systems in use
• Ensuring operational tasks and carrying out activities for operational stabilisation / optimisation
• Taking on on-call duty
• Taking on the role of third level support, developing solutions (if necessary involving the manufacturer Microsoft)

• Completed vocational training in IT
• Min. 5 years of practical experience in the described task profile
• Experience in large IT environments and problem-solving skills for complex tasks
• Very good knowledge of Active Directory and Domain Name System (DNS)
• Good knowledge of Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Lightweight Directory Services (ADLDS) and DHCP
• Knowledge of PowerShell
• Fluent German and good English skills
