IT Expert Service Asset and Configuration Management

As the main digitalisation partner of the Bundeswehr, BWI provides stable, secure and efficient IT services. The Shared Service Delivery (SSD) division is responsible for service design, service development and provision of end-user, data centre, cloud and communication services. The ITM Service Management & Automation area runs the central BWI service asset and configuration management and is responsible for planning, building and operating the CMDB.

• Designing how services and objects are modelled in the CMDB
• Defining the data model, rules and conventions
• Implementation in the CMDB, here USU SM, IBM Control Desk, DCON IT-SPS, FNT-Command
• Helping with service development and projects
• Communicating internally and externally with BWI customers
• Helping to introduce a new service management platform

• Completed vocational training with at least five years of work experience, or IT studies with at least two years of work experience
• Several years of experience in service asset and configuration management
• In-depth knowledge and work experience in modelling services in an ITSM platform such as IBM Control Desk or USU SM
• Work experience in a public authority setting is an advantage, e.g. Bundeswehr from the S6 or S4 command area
• Fluent German, spoken and written
