Senior Service Technician

As the primary digitalization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, secure and efficient IT services at home and abroad, from basic operations to deployment-related areas, thus continuously increasing the Bundeswehr's leadership and operational capabilities. With over 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernize one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who want to further develop the Bundeswehr IT out of conviction in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. The Service Center Hannover ensures decentralized service provision for over 80 locations and a permanent representation of BWI GmbH on site at Bundeswehr properties. In addition, the Service Center processes defined work packages within projects and provides on-site service for BWI's internal IT.

Tool-supported acceptance, analysis and resolution of faults in PC, telephony, LAN and WAN environments. Execution of relocation orders, primarily in the area of telephony and PC. Compliance with specified response and resolution times as well as on-site support for central operating units. Participation in projects for the further development and adaptation of the IT infrastructure. Decentralized implementation of second-level support or support of central operating units on site as the face of BWI to users. Complete and structured documentation of all activities in the systems used. Conducting DGUV V3 inspections. Cyclic provision of on-call duty services.

Completed IT-related vocational training (e.g. IT system electronics technician) or comparable qualification with experience in a government environment. 3 years of professional experience in the IT environment. Sound knowledge of ticket systems and IT processes. Strong teamwork skills, sense of responsibility and goal orientation. High organizational skills, careful and conscientious working method. Initiative and confident appearance in customer contact as well as negotiation-proficient German language skills. Class B driving license and willingness to travel.

The starting salary is usually between €44,100 and €55,100 gross per year.
