Senior Service Manager Automation

As the primary digitalization partner of the German Armed Forces, we provide stable, secure, and efficient IT services at home and abroad, from basic operations to deployment-adjacent areas, thereby continuously enhancing the leadership and operational capability of the Bundeswehr. With over 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernize one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who want to further develop the Bundeswehr IT out of conviction in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. The services of SSD ITM increase the efficiency and degree of automation of BWI and provide the required functionalities as well as a central ITSM landscape. The goal is a uniform architecture for the automation of services or service chains and the provision of the necessary systems. In addition, the collection and provision of telemetry data (logs, events, compliance information, etc.) to secure the system landscape and control automations (AIOps). Furthermore, the management and documentation systems of the infrastructure for BWI and Bundeswehr are managed.

Assumption of operational and financial end-to-end responsibility for one or more services along the complete service lifecycle Ensuring contractual service delivery and compliance with agreed service quality Planning and coordination of service delivery by the virtual service team (architecture, development, and operations) Control of the development of solutions and further developments in the service context with service architects and operations Technical consulting and instruction on the tools and applications used from the responsible service Planning and conducting customer and user meetings as well as building and maintaining relationships with external suppliers (e.g., software vendors)

Completed degree or comparable training in business and/or computer science Approximately 6 years of professional experience in IT service management in the environment of complex IT architectures as well as technical leadership experience Comprehensive knowledge of the service delivery process for providing IT services and very good ITIL knowledge (at least v3) Knowledge in the areas of automation and CI/CD tools as well as ideally a basic understanding of automation tools, workflows, and interface technologies Excellent communication and team skills, willingness to learn, and an independent, solution- and goal-oriented way of working Fluent German skills in written and spoken form
