Lead IT Solution Architect Infrastructure Application Migration

We are looking for responsible IT specialists who want to further develop the Bundeswehr IT out of conviction in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to the security of Germany. The Shared Service Architecture division handles delivery-specific solution developments and is responsible for the functional design of complex, cross-cutting and holistic IT solutions within the service lines. The focus here is on the design and conception of a secure, economical and customer-oriented IT solution based on the capabilities of the delivery units. Our strength lies in our well-trained employees who specialize in one or more technological focus topics and, in virtual teams together with various stakeholders, shape and further develop the IT infrastructure of our clients. The focus of the activity lies in responsible solution development within infrastructure and cloud projects.

Responsibility for mapping our customers' business requirements to technical solutions and services within demanding IT projects Further development of our complex IT architecture through precise integration of new solutions including system interfaces Management of a professional team of internal and external IT solution architects and subject matter experts including task prioritization taking into account technical, economic and contractual framework conditions Close coordination with the development, architecture, IT security, logistics, infrastructure and system engineering teams Implementation and planning of strategic requirements for deliverables including control with common IT tools such as Atlassian JIRA and Confluence Reporting on solution and product progress as well as the roadmap to management, customers and partners

Completed IT degree or comparable training, ideally ITIL certification Approx. 6 years of relevant professional experience in solution architecture, as a solution or IT architect or as a technical IT consultant, professional leadership experience an advantage Knowledge and experience with at least one relevant architecture framework (TOGAF, NAF, ADM, TÜV) as well as in the areas of infrastructure, application migrations and cloud platforms including the required security mechanisms Experience in planning and conception of database or application migrations, native cloud applications and containerized solutions as well as ideally private cloud environments based on Kubernetes Experience in eliciting qualitative customer or business requirements and deriving solution requirements according to industry standards (e.g. IREB, SOPHIST) Thought leadership, results orientation, analytical thinking, good communication and assertiveness skills as well as decision-making and implementation strength Negotiation-proficient German skills in word and writing
