Engineer API Management

With over 8,000 colleagues we operate and modernize one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who want to further develop Bundeswehr IT out of conviction in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. The Automation & Engineering (A&E) division develops BWI's IT service management and automation platforms. The team helps specialized services map their processes and CIs on the platforms and support them as best as possible through corresponding workflows and largely automate them. We are looking for IT experts, architects and developers with API gateway/management experience who don't get stuck in theory but want to produce practically usable results and accompany them through to commissioning.

• Continuous further development of the API application
• Implementation and migration of systems onto the API platform
• Continuous further development of the API platform
• Consulting, conception and active co-design in expanding the API platform
• Independent work within the scope of respective requirements or projects

• Successfully completed degree in IT field or comparable training
• At least 3 years professional experience in the described tasks
• At least 5 years experience in application development and application architecture
• Experience with at least one of the following methods and technologies: Orchestra, Python
• Communication and team skills
• Negotiation-level German language skills and willingness to travel (approx. 10%)
