Lead Cluster Enterprise Architect Federated Mission Network & Cloud

As Lead Cluster Enterprise Architect in Military Enterprise Architecture & Portfolio Advisory, you help shape the Federated Mission Network and cloud architecture of the Bundeswehr. Focus areas are strategic planning of the Federated Mission Network, supporting the cloud architects and working in NATO bodies.

• Responsibility for creating FMN target architectures: creating and developing target architectures and portfolio measures in your area, playing a key role in the future direction of the Bundeswehr.
• Technical support in the cloud architects team: technical advice on cloud topics and identifying possible dependencies on the FMN project.
• Technical advice to our customer: advice on FMN and cloud topics and joint analysis and optimisation of existing architectures.
• Requirements gathering and management: gathering, managing and evaluating the needs and requirements of the Bundeswehr to jointly define necessary and innovative measures.
• Representing BWI in international NATO bodies: technical advice to member states on relevant architecture developments.
• Presenting complex matters for the target audience: creating and developing technical contributions to the enterprise architecture of the Bundeswehr, including presentations of complex matters up to top management level.
• Interdisciplinary and cross-topic collaboration: working in interdisciplinary teams, including leading technical teams when needed in IT and digitalisation projects of highest relevance to the Bundeswehr

• Completed IT-related degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable STEM programmes, alternatively an equivalent completed vocational training
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience as an enterprise or solution architect, service portfolio manager or service manager
• Very good knowledge of IT landscape planning and creating target architectures
• Very good knowledge of cloud and Federated Mission Network topics
• Experience with architecture management tools (e.g. ARIS, SPARX EA), architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF or NAF) and metamodels (e.g. ADMBw, UAF DMM)
• Experience in requirements gathering and requirements management
• Experience in the Bundeswehr or public authority customer environment is desirable
• Experience communicating and working with middle and top management
• Strategic thinking, strong communication, persuasiveness, team spirit, sense of responsibility, ability to present complex matters simply
• German and English fluent in speech and writing
