SAP Basis Administrator / System Engineer

We are looking for responsible IT specialists who want to further develop the Bundeswehr IT out of conviction in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. The ERP Technical Solutions division is responsible, with a dedicated team, for the provision, operation, and dynamic further development of ERP system landscapes in the SAP environment. As a solution provider for the Bundeswehr, the division is entrusted with diverse tasks and thus ensures the operational capability of the Bundeswehr's IT in peace, crisis, and war.

Ensuring stable & secure operation of SAP system landscapes. Installation, configuration, migration, and administration of SAP systems (focus BW / BusinessObjects) throughout the entire lifecycle. Optimization of SAP systems regarding performance and security. Execution of updates, release changes, and system copies. Integration of 3rd party products into SAP system landscapes. Execution and further development of technical monitoring (servers, databases, applications). Participation in automation of operational processes. Strategic consulting for newly planned measures.

Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, vocational training in IT or comparable qualification combined with at least 4 years of professional experience in the ERP/SAP environment and SAP Basis operations. Basic knowledge of SAP technologies (including NetWeaver, HANA, BI/BO) including their hardening. Basic understanding of IT architectures and their impact on security aspects as well as basic understanding of the use of SAP/ERP systems in customer processes. Strong communication skills and professional demeanor. Willingness to travel domestically (around 30%). Negotiation-proficient German skills in word and writing.

The starting salary is typically between €57,800 and €74,600 gross per year. The exact amount is determined based on criteria such as qualifications, area of responsibility, and position requirements. Justified deviations are possible in individual cases.
