Senior IT Service Manager Workplace

As the Bundeswehr's digitalisation partner, BWI is looking for a Senior Service Manager for the Workplace area, including virtual client solutions.

• Service management across the whole service lifecycle and end-to-end responsibility for ensuring stable service operation
• Concept and planning of various interconnected subject areas, plus steering, coordinating and ensuring implementation with virtual teams
• Analysis of difficult and varied requirements and development of comprehensive solutions, including responsibility for ensuring implementation
• Continuous development of the service with regard to technological and other requirements and existing standards, and implementation of an active CSI
• Responsibility for service-specific products and topics and improvement of existing processes to increase efficiency in service delivery
• Participation in projects and special topics and responsible implementation of requirements from customers, projects and stakeholders
• Preparation of calculations and plans, coordination of needs with all relevant stakeholders and technical responsibility for contract awards

• Completed degree in IT or a comparable completed vocational training, ITIL certification an advantage
• About 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in IT service management
• Very good ITIL knowledge and strong practical experience with agile methods and with managing and developing IT services
• Sound knowledge of building and operating a VDI and of assembling and providing virtual desktops and applications
• Ideally knowledge of virtualization (Citrix, VMware) and a strong technical understanding of virtual work environments
• Creativity, good teamwork, communication and conflict skills, openness to change and a responsible, goal-oriented way of working
• Fluent German in speaking and writing
