Senior IT Service Architect Training Systems

We are looking for responsible IT specialists who want to further develop the Bundeswehr IT out of conviction in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. The Customer Solution Unit "Training Systems" (CS ABS) is responsible for the projects and initiatives for the digitalization of training systems in schools and training facilities of the Bundeswehr and in the BMVg business area. Thus it contributes to the continuous increase of leadership and operational capability as well as the combat strength of the armed forces. The unit has the implementation responsibility as an internal contractor for the contracts and orders in the environment of the digitalization of training systems for > 300,000 users. The Course Management Tool (LVT) is a component of the solutions managed by CS ABS. The LVT primarily serves the instructors and planners at the training facilities. It encapsulates the complexity of the provided solutions from the users by providing a simple user interface through which the training facility can select the resources required for a specific training and by taking over the complete orchestration for the provision of these resources. These resources include installed workplace computers, virtual desktops, the specific software equipment of these PCs, user accounts for the trainees, e-mail and chat accounts, individual and group file storage as well as access rights to learning content such as courses in learning management systems.

Participation in design, transition and further development of the LVT and its interfaces using the BWI development framework (EPDF), derived from customer requirements Delivery of contributions in determining required resources (e.g. number of skills or competencies for design, transition and operation of the LVT) Delivery of contributions for cost calculation, cost transparency and establishment of benchmarking Creation of contributions for service-specific documentation (e.g. Technical Support Manual, Information Security Concept, Protection Requirement Analysis, Business Impact Analysis etc.) Creation of technical specifications for operational operation and to ensure security requirements Planning and control of activities required for commissioning a new version of the LVT for productive operation Conducting impact analysis of change requests to the LVT Review and coordination in the implementation of change & service requests

Successfully completed degree or vocational training with IT relevance At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in the field of IT architecture, preferably with solutions for automatic provisioning of endpoints, user accounts, roles and permissions Demonstrable experience with agile methods of software development and operation according to the DevSecOps approach Experience with IAM systems, Microsoft Active Directory and automated software distribution (desirable) Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and JavaScript as well as databases such as PostgreSQL (desirable) Very good understanding of IT service & system architectures Analytical thinking, structured and solution-oriented way of working combined with a high security & quality awareness Teamwork and customer orientation as well as own initiative Fluent German skills and good English skills in word and writing
