Senior IT Architect RAS and Network

As the primary digitalization partner of the German Armed Forces, we provide stable, secure, and efficient IT services at home and abroad. The Service Development 2 (SDV2) division within the Shared Service Architecture (SSA) develops and manages the modular toolkit of the Shared Service Delivery (SSD). IT architects work closely with the services and are responsible for standardization and fully automated provisioning.

Further development of your services with service architects incorporating current market trends and customer requirements to promote innovation and technical connectivity; definition and implementation of standards; design and implementation of an overarching automation approach that accelerates service retrieval and covers technical and calculation aspects; creation, continuous optimization and validation of architectural service designs; capture technical dependencies of all existing services to obtain an end-to-end situation picture; support solution architecture in projects, solution requests, and requirements consulting; design reference architectures for complex architectural solution building blocks.

Successfully completed IT degree or comparable training; at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in creating and standardizing complex architectures in your field, ideally with VS-NfD infrastructures; expertise in networks, VPN server and client components, VPN gateways, multi-factor authentication, IPSec with IKEv1/v2, approved products, and basic knowledge of DMZ architectures; experience in complex, process-driven work environments and ideally ITIL v3/4 certification; proactive work style, strong solution orientation, communication and negotiation skills; strong analytical skills, fluent German and good English.
