Senior Service Manager Network DMZ

As the primary digitalization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, secure, and efficient IT services both domestically and abroad, from basic operations to deployment-adjacent areas, thereby continuously enhancing the Bundeswehr's command and operational capabilities. With over 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernize one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who want to further develop the Bundeswehr's IT out of conviction in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. The DMZ area is responsible for network transitions as customer solutions, manages, plans, and implements customer requirements for existing and new functions and extensions. This involves considering optimizations in the customer's IT infrastructure, the creation and updating of concepts, and accompanying implementation. The area is responsible for the provided solutions in cost and personnel union.

Consulting, coaching, and coordination during the introduction of new technologies and migrations of existing ones. Management of cross-functional, project-oriented tasks. Support of the Service Owner in creating service descriptions, project calculations and requirements, preparation of presentation materials for customer committees (AG, FAG, etc.) and internal meetings. Point of contact for service partners and suppliers (e.g., IT Security, License and Maintenance Contract Management). Preparation/participation in service tenders. Clarification and specification of service requirements, negotiation and conclusion of service agreements. Control of necessary measures to ensure IT service quality and customer satisfaction in operations. Initiation and coordination of updating and creation of concepts (e.g., IT-SichhK).

Successfully completed degree (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering) or comparable training. At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in requirements management, system calculation, and project management (>15 people, >2 million) ideally in the public sector. Expertise in at least one technological area (e.g., Cloud Computing, Mobile Computing, Enterprise Network Transitions). Good project and service management methodology knowledge and ideally relevant certifications (e.g., PMI, IPMA, Prince2, ITIL). Very good knowledge of process modeling and good knowledge of IT security and compliance. Confident demeanor, good communication skills, and strong networking ability. Pronounced independent, loyal work style, analytical thinking, and creative and flexible approaches.

The actual amount is determined based on your area of responsibility, experience, and competencies.
