About this Apprenticeship
Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are manufactured using ZEISS technologies. As the core component of every electronically controlled system, they have become an indispensable part of our everyday lives, whether in smartphones, smart homes or smart factories. ZEISS is a technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With highly precise lithography optics, photomask systems and solutions for process control, ZEISS enables the production of increasingly smaller, more powerful, and energy-efficient microchips, thereby playing a decisive role in shaping the age of micro- and nanoelectronics through its innovations.
What You'll Learn
- Technical responsibility for high precision sensor systems throughout the entire product lifecycle, from development to series products
- Further development of sensor systems with a focus on design verification, manufacturability, integrability, and risk management
- Coordination and integration of sensor technology with adjacent disciplines such as mechanics, sensor technology, electronics, control engineering, and software
- Ensuring quality, performance and delivery capability in close collaboration with production, suppliers and system development
- Requirements engineering in close contact with relevant stakeholders
- Technical supplier management and further development of suppliers, as well as evaluation of development and manufacturing processes
