Internship Electronics and Firmware Development for Highly Integrated Components for Robotic Systems

Internship in ZEISS Medical Technology in Oberkochen: combine studies and practice and actively work on exciting projects.

• Development and implementation of firmware for highly integrated electronic components in robotic systems
• Support in circuit development and testing for electronic assemblies
• Carrying out tests and error analyses to ensure functionality and reliability of the components
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams (mechanics, software, system integration) to align system requirements
• Documentation of development processes, test results and technical specifications
• Support in optimizing hardware and firmware designs regarding performance, energy efficiency and cost

• Studies in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics or a comparable program
• Independent, careful and team-oriented way of working
• History of intrinsically motivated projects
• Good communication skills in German and English
• Willingness to work 6 months full-time on site in Oberkochen
• Preferred (at least 2): Understanding of electronic circuits and components
• Basic knowledge of embedded software and firmware development (e.g. C/C++)
• Analytical and structured way of working and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on mentality
• Nice-to-have: Experience with oscilloscope, logic analyzer and similar lab equipment
• Experience debugging circuit boards, ideally combined with firmware
• Experience in circuit board layout
