Industrial Mechanic at the Leverkusen site - with salary information

As an industrial mechanic (m/f/d) in maintenance at Covestro, you play a key role in plant safety and plant availability. You can expect a dynamic team, modern facilities and the chance to fully use your technical expertise.

• Repairing machine and plant parts and fixing faults in process engineering plants
• Implementing improvements and optimization measures as instructed when faults occur
• Maintenance and servicing of pumps, fans, mixers, reactors, apparatus and piping systems
• Carrying out preventive maintenance independently to minimize production downtime and ensure plant availability
• Making spare parts such as brackets, sheet metal parts and piping components from technical drawings
• Close cooperation with electricians and process engineers to ensure operational safety

• Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic (m/f/d), machine fitter (m/f/d), plant mechanic (m/f/d) or a comparable occupation
• Solid professional experience in maintaining chemical plants
• Confident use of common MS Office applications and SAP
• Strong safety awareness
• Independent and structured way of working
• Team player who actively contributes to collaboration
• Knowledge of mechanical explosion protection is an advantage
• Participation in weekend on-call duty and suitability for wearing respiratory protection and chemical protection suits
