Day Shift Logistics Employee in the BIL Plant - Salary Included

Covestro is seeking a day shift logistics employee for its Basic Isocyanates (BIL) plant in Leverkusen. The role focuses on unloading rail tank cars and supplying production facilities with raw materials.

• Coordinate and carry out the timely unloading of rail tank cars for a raw material at the BIL unloading station
• Coordinate closely with the plant office and the responsible production experts
• Take samples from rail tank cars while wearing respiratory protection
• Carefully check loading documents and accurately document work results
• Carry out forklift and other logistics work to supply facilities with raw materials from containers and load trailers with packaged raw materials
• Help with other day shift and logistics tasks as needed
• Carry out general work preparation tasks and consistently follow safety, tidiness and cleanliness standards

• Completed vocational training as a chemical plant operator or an equivalent qualification
• Ideally, initial experience in the chemical industry or logistics processes at a production facility
• Confident use of IT systems and MS Office applications, with accurate documentation
• An independent and careful approach to work, reliability and a sense of responsibility
• Constructive team communication and an active contribution to a safe, tidy and clean workplace
• Very good spoken and written German
• Fitness to wear respiratory protection and, ideally, a licence to operate industrial trucks or forklifts
