Nursing Apprenticeship in Rodenkirchen

Three year nursing apprenticeship in Köln-Rodenkirchen combining classroom learning and practical work, mainly in an elderly care facility, with placements in home care and inpatient facilities. Training can start in March, April, June, August, September, October or November. In the final year, you can continue general nursing training or specialise in elderly care.

• You independently support and care for people of all ages to improve, maintain and restore their physical and mental health.
• You learn about nursing, health sciences, natural sciences, humanities and social sciences.
• Most of your practical training takes place in an elderly care facility near you.
• You also complete placements in home care and inpatient facilities.
• In the final year, you choose whether to continue general nursing training to qualify as a nurse or specialise to qualify in elderly care.

• Caring, reliable, able to work independently and a team player
• Interest in medical, nursing and social tasks
• An intermediate school leaving certificate or equivalent completed ten year school education, or
• A lower secondary school leaving certificate with a completed two year vocational qualification, or
• A lower secondary school leaving certificate and completed training as an elderly care or nursing assistant
