Senior Physician for Internal Medicine and Cardiology

The MATERNUS Rehabilitation Clinic in Bad Oeynhausen is a renowned specialist clinic with 540 beds, which specializes in the areas of orthopedics, behaviorally oriented rehabilitation, cardiology, and neurology with focuses C and D with its approximately 320 employees. Annually, over 4,200 rehabilitation patients trust our first-class inpatient and outpatient treatment. In addition to rehabilitative measures and follow-up rehabilitation, our range of services also includes preventive offers to holistically promote the health of our rehabilitation patients. In the cardiology department, patients of all payers are cared for. Admission is possible both as follow-up rehabilitation (so-called AHB) after a cardiological or cardiac surgical hospital treatment and as part of a rehabilitation measure. In the cardiology department, all cardiological patients who have had a ventricular assist device (VAD) or an artificial heart implanted are cared for and treated on a separate VAD special ward.

• responsible collaboration in the department of internal medicine and cardiology as well as on the special ward for rehabilitative care of patients after implantation of an artificial heart and/or after heart transplant
• as a member of the interdisciplinary team, you independently treat our rehabilitation patients, perform medical diagnostic measures (e.g., sonography and TTE), and create therapy plans with them
• during regular rounds, you discuss the healing progress and socio-medical issues with them
• you provide consultative care for patients of other departments
• you participate in the clinic's on-call duties
• you conduct supervision of resident physicians

• Medical license (Approbation) as a physician
• Specialist recognition in internal medicine, preferably with focus on diabetology or cardiology
• Experience in care of artificial heart (LVAD) rehabilitation patients is an advantage
• Team and communication skills as well as interest in conceptual further development are required
• Professional experience in rehabilitation is an advantage
