Occupational Health Assistant / Medical Assistant (MFA) Occupational Medicine Part-time

Daimler Truck is looking for an occupational health assistant or medical assistant for its company medical service in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. The team consists of five dedicated colleagues who work closely together. The position is fixed-term for two years and is part-time with 28 hours per week.

• Dispense medication based on own assessment of the health complaint from a range defined by a doctor, or as prescribed, and inform patients about medical matters (e.g. self-help measures)
• Apply bandages, provide proper wound care, give injections (vaccinations), remove foreign bodies from the eye, rinse eyes, if necessary with the company doctor's involvement
• Prepare examinations, including selecting suitable examination methods, preparing, setting and calibrating equipment, and instructing patients
• Carry out examinations (vision test, hearing test, perimetry, lung function, resting ECG, long-term blood pressure measurement) and perform plausibility checks
• As part of laboratory examinations: collect samples from patients (e.g. blood, saliva, urine)
• Carry out (emergency) medical responses according to the situation, observing legal and company regulations
• Administrative tasks such as placing orders, checking invoices, obtaining quotes, preparing service records and having invoices issued

• Training as a nursing professional (formerly health and nursing care worker), medical assistant (formerly doctor's assistant) or a comparable qualification
• Ideally further training as a company paramedic
• Several years of professional experience
• Very good German and good English skills
• Confident use of MS Office
