About this Apprenticeship
Internship in the Logistics Planning & Cost Management team at the Mercedes-Benz Mannheim plant. The team manages external logistics warehouses regarding contracts and billing and shapes the warehouse strategy for the coming years.
What You'll Learn
- Help plan, design and manage complex logistics processes
- Support the planning and design of warehouse, automation and intralogistics solutions
- Get to know project management and possibly take over individual work packages
- Coordinate with production, assembly, supplier management, operational logistics and external logistics providers
- Take on subtasks in shaping and implementing logistics optimization approaches that increase efficiency
- Insights into digitalization topics and automation solutions within a DAX company and build your own network
Requirements
- Studies in engineering/industrial engineering, business administration, business informatics or a comparable degree with a focus on logistics, supply chain management and/or production
- Confident German and English skills, written and spoken
- Confident use of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP and PowerBI is desirable
- Knowledge of warehouse processes and/or contract management is desirable
- Commitment and teamwork as well as confident manner and proactivity
- Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
- Interest in logistics processes
