Working Student Sustainability

The J. J. Darboven Group is one of the leading companies in the roasted coffee industry, with brands such as IDEE KAFFEE, MÖVENPICK, CAFÉ INTENCIÓN, EILLES and COCAYA. A working student in sustainability is wanted from January 2027 for 20 h/week at the Hamburg site to support the central Sustainability department.

• Support the central Sustainability department in building and implementing J. J. Darboven's sustainability strategies
• Research on various sustainability topics (e.g. legislation, biodiversity, climate or fresh water)
• Create updates on internal carbon footprint data and help with 1.5°C targets under the SBTi
• Support the preparation of the sustainability report
• Prepare and follow up internal meetings, e.g. the sustainability working group
• Contribute to company-wide internal sustainability communication, maintain the intranet presence and develop creative communication ideas
• Create presentations on cross-cutting sustainability topics and support process documentation and project manuals

• Enrolled at a university (of applied sciences), ideally in a degree program related to sustainability or the environment
• Living in Hamburg or the surrounding area
• Confident use of Excel and PowerPoint
• Structured, independent and careful way of working
• Very good German skills and good written and spoken English
• Reliable personality with strong team orientation
