Dual Study Program: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Specialization in Cyber Security, starting 09/2027

At DATEV, you become part of a community of around 200 apprentices and dual-study students from the beginning. You work in a dynamic and innovative environment. On September 1, you start with an orientation month consisting of two weeks of practical work at DATEV and two weeks of online theory at DHBW. Your regular studies begin on October 1.

• Software development: You develop and implement software solutions in various programming languages such as Java.
• Cyber defense and analysis: You help identify and assess security-related events and derive suitable measures.
• Networks and IT systems: You gain insights into network architectures, access protection, firewalls and other technologies for secure IT infrastructures.
• Digital forensics and offensive security: You learn methods for analyzing security incidents and systematically investigating potential vulnerabilities.
• Data protection, IT law and compliance: You learn how legal requirements, data protection and security policies affect everyday work.
• Combining theory and practice: You attend lectures at DHBW's Mannheim campus and complete practical phases at DATEV in Nuremberg.

• Requirements: You have a general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification with good results or meet the university's admission requirements.
• Passion for STEM: You are enthusiastic about mathematics, computer science, IT security and digital technologies.
• Experience: Initial practical experience in computer science, cyber security or a programming language is an advantage but not required.
• Digital affinity: You are interested in digital trends, online security and the IT industry.
• Analytical mindset: You enjoy solving complex problems, recognizing patterns and systematically assessing security risks.
• Teamwork: You enjoy working in a team, taking on tasks independently and explaining technical topics clearly.
