Building Surveyor Real Estate

DEKRA's Construction & Real Estate department offers a large service portfolio nationwide: construction-accompanying property inspections, damage reports, property valuations, structural inspections of load-bearing structures and engineering works, and technical due diligence. The department is also the contact for energy topics, from energy certificates and building energy consulting to energy audits for companies.

• You carry out construction-accompanying property inspections and inspections of existing buildings with a focus on residential and commercial construction, including supporting the acceptance
• You assess the technical quality of execution, especially regarding the contractually agreed condition and the generally recognized rules of technology
• With your expertise, you take on technical and professional leadership of on-site inspections
• As part of damage and insurance reports for commercial and private clients, you document and assess building damage and determine the cause of damage, taking into account contractual requirements, recognized rules of technology and insurance terms
• You carry out evidence preservation (building condition documentation) and expert findings, determine the amount of damage in property and liability cases, and clarify claims and costs for damage repair
• You prepare technical reports or statements (party reports) that are transparent and meaningful for everyone involved

• Academic university degree in architecture, civil engineering (building construction) or a comparable field, ideally with recognition as a building surveyor or willingness to obtain it with us
• Several years of professional experience in planning and executing structures (turnkey building and civil engineering), preferably in residential and commercial construction
• Very good knowledge of tendering, construction management and contract and procurement law
• Sound expertise in construction types, building materials and building physics, fire protection and sound insulation as well as standards and regulations
• Routine use of MS Office
• Strong writing skills to produce meaningful and precise documentation and reports
• Class B driving licence and willingness to work locally in the field
