Electrical Engineer as Expert Inspector for Electrical Systems (Building Code)

The DEKRA Electrical and Building Technology department inspects safety systems and supports innovative renewable energy projects. If you are not yet recognised as a building-law expert, DEKRA offers participation in a comprehensive training programme.

• Independent inspection of safety systems in buildings and industrial plants, including: electrical systems, emergency power supply, emergency lighting, fire alarm and alerting systems
• Carrying out construction-accompanying quality control and writing expert reports including measurements
• In your region you work independently or in a team with colleagues and are supported by qualified back office staff
• Supporting our customers in ensuring that official and legal requirements are met
• Using the network to expand the customer base and grow the business

• University degree as an electrical engineer or a comparable technical field
• Professional experience in the planning, construction and operation of electrical systems
• Recognition or knowledge of building law and of the trades to be inspected, as well as experience in writing expert reports, desirable
• Strong expression to write meaningful and precise reports and expert opinions
• Business-fluent German in speech and writing required
• Independent, reliable and flexible way of working
• Routine use of MS Office and mobile apps
• Class B driving licence and willingness to work in the field around your place of residence
