Engineer in Building Services as Expert for Ventilation, Smoke Extraction and Fire Extinguishing Systems

The DEKRA Electrical and Building Technology department inspects safety systems and supports innovative renewable energy projects. If you are not yet recognized as an expert under building law, we offer participation in our training program.

• Your area of responsibility includes independently inspecting safety systems in buildings and industrial plants. These include ventilation, smoke extraction, pressurization, CO warning and fire extinguishing systems
• You carry out construction-accompanying quality control and prepare expert reports including measurements
• In your region you work independently or in a team with colleagues and are supported by qualified back office staff
• You support our customers in ensuring that official and legal regulations are met
• You use your network to expand the customer base and grow the business

• University degree in building services, energy or building technology, mechanical engineering or a comparable field
• Professional experience in planning, building and operating building services systems
• Recognition or knowledge of building law and the trades to be inspected, plus experience writing expert reports, desirable
• Strong writing skills to produce clear and precise reports and expert opinions
• Fluent German in speech and writing required
• Independent, reliable and flexible way of working
• Proficient use of MS Office
• Class B driving license and willingness to work in the field around your place of residence
