As an electronics technician for operating technology at DB Energie GmbH you drive the energy transition forward. At the fifth largest electricity supplier in Germany you set the course for the future. From 01.09.2027 we are looking for you for the 3.5-year apprenticeship as electronics technician for operating technology (f/m/d) for DB Energie GmbH in Augsburg. The vocational school and the training workshop are also located in Augsburg. You supply our trains, stations and infrastructure facilities with electrical energy. With us you test, maintain and repair energy systems. With measuring devices and special test procedures you find faults, document your work and ensure a reliable power supply. You support us in maintaining our tank facilities. In the process you also learn how the railway is switching to energies (hydrogen, HVO100/biofuel) and how we keep the technology always up to date. Every day is different. Your workplace is often outdoors, e.g. in substations, transformer stations, stations or also in the track area. Together with your team you travel daily to your assignments and work sites.

You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school with at least the qualifying lower secondary school diploma (qualifizierender Mittelschulabschluss) and your school qualification is recognized in Germany. Your German skills correspond to at least B2 level. You enjoy math and physics. You are manually skilled and like tinkering with electronic components. You are definitely a team player and reliable. Moreover, you like working outdoors and independently.
