About this Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship as a track layer at DB InfraGO AG in Plattling. Starting September 1, 2027. Full-time, permanent.
What You'll Learn
- You work with your team outdoors on construction sites on our tracks – primarily you are outdoors in the fresh air.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of track and switch systems are part of everyday life – including replacement of rails, sleepers and ballast.
- On the construction site, trenches are dug, pipes laid in sewer shafts, paving and masonry work carried out and structures made of stone.
- You pay close attention to all measurements – so that the trains run smoothly and safely later.
- During your apprenticeship as a track layer, you are already an important part of the team and ensure every day that our trains are on the move reliably.
- Your working day begins and ends at your regional base in Plattling, from where you set off with your team to the deployment sites.
Requirements
- You will soon have successfully completed school with a middle school diploma, and your school diploma is recognized in Germany.
- Your German language skills correspond to at least level B2.
- Sitting at a desk is not for you – you prefer working outdoors.
- You are motivated and reliable.
- You enjoy teamwork and like to pitch in.
- Different work locations and working hours as well as night shifts are a welcome change for you.

- Rent subsidy: We support you in settling into your new city! If you have to commute more than 2.5 hours daily from your previous place of residence and rent a closer apartment, you will receive a rent subsidy of up to €400 per month from us.
- Attractive remuneration: Depending on the apprenticeship year, between €1,324 and €1,531 per month plus Christmas bonus. * Remuneration amounts valid from 01.07.2026. The employment conditions apply to the vast majority of apprentices in the DB Group.
- Fixed contact persons: We offer you a practical and future-oriented apprenticeship with fixed contact persons who accompany you on your way.
- Takeover opportunity: If you successfully complete your vocational training, there is the possibility of being taken on by the company.
- DB Youngster Community: DB Youngster Community – Experience exciting workshops, cool events, community trips and much more with other apprentices and dual students.
