Apprenticeship Track Layer 2027

You want to work outdoors instead of sitting inside and are fascinated by trains and technology - then the apprenticeship in track construction is just right for you! Starting 15 August 2027 we are looking for you for the 3-year apprenticeship as a track layer (f/m/d) for DB InfraGO AG in Neudietendorf. The vocational school is located in Magdeburg near the Krökentor. The training workshop or qualification center is located in Königsborn (near Magdeburg). For the first two years of your apprenticeship we finance accommodation in Magdeburg (if certain conditions are met).

• You work with your team outdoors on construction sites on our tracks
• Together you check rails, sleepers, and switches for damage and replace defective parts or carry out demolition work and winter service
• With the help of modern machines you renew the ballast under the tracks
• You pay close attention to all measurements – so that the trains later run smoothly and safely
• During your apprenticeship as a track layer you are already an important part of the team and ensure every day that our trains are reliably on the move

• You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school and your school diploma is recognized in Germany
• Your German language skills correspond to at least level B2 (for applicants with B1 level we offer a B2 online language course before the start of the apprenticeship)
• Sitting at a desk is not for you – you prefer to work outdoors
• You are motivated and reliable
• You enjoy teamwork and like to pitch in
• Different work locations and working hours as well as night shifts are a welcome change for you
