Apprenticeship Track Construction Worker in the Rail Network 2027

Do you want to get stuck in outdoors instead of sitting inside, and are you fascinated by trains and technology? From 15 August 2027 we are looking for you for the 3-year apprenticeship as a track construction worker (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG in Leipzig. The vocational school is in Magdeburg near the Krökentor. The training workshop or qualification center is in Königsborn (near Magdeburg). For the first two years of training, accommodation in Magdeburg is paid for (if certain conditions are met). The selection process includes an aptitude examination.

• You work with your team outdoors on construction sites on our tracks
• Together you lay new rails and switches, check everything for damage and replace broken parts
• With the help of modern machines you renew the ballast under the tracks
• You make sure all measurements are exact so that trains later run smoothly and safely
• During your apprenticeship you are already an important part of the team and help every day to keep our trains running reliably

• You have (soon) successfully finished school and your school certificate is recognized in Germany
• Your German skills are at least B2 level (for applicants with B1 level we offer an online B2 language course before the training starts)
• Sitting at a desk is not for you – you would rather work outdoors
• You are motivated and reliable
• You enjoy teamwork and like to pitch in
• Different work locations and working hours as well as night shifts are a welcome change for you
