Apprenticeship Industrial Electrician for Electrical Power Systems 2027

We are looking for you from 16 August 2027 for the 2-year apprenticeship as an industrial electrician (f/m/d) at DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH at the Halle (Saale) site, and later on our construction sites across Germany. The vocational school is in Leipzig (Eutritzsch). You also attend the training workshop in Leipzig. Under certain conditions the employer covers travel and accommodation costs.

• Your work is mainly in the electrical power systems of our railway infrastructure
• Installing and assembling electrical systems, e.g. lighting systems, point heaters, train pre-heating systems and transformer stations
• You work both outdoors on the rail network and in our workshops
• Learning basics such as the relationship between voltage and current, and electrical quantities and equipment
• Installing and wiring switching, control and measuring devices and carrying out cable tests
• You learn everything about accident prevention rules and occupational safety

• You have (soon) successfully finished school and your school certificate is recognised in Germany
• Your German is at least B2 level
• You are good with your hands and enjoy tinkering in your free time
• You are especially good at maths and physics
• Working at different locations across Germany, varying hours and night shifts are a welcome change for you
• You like working outdoors, at height and in a team
