The apprenticeship covers the construction, installation and monitoring of overhead lines and switching systems in the rail network, as well as measurement, testing and diagnostic procedures.

Work outdoors on overhead lines and switching systems; learn about the construction, installation and monitoring of various systems; use measurement, testing and diagnostic procedures; analyze and resolve faults in systems; wire signals and antennas.

Have completed or be about to complete school with at least a qualifying lower secondary school certificate; school-leaving certificate recognized in Germany; German language skills at least at B2 level; interest in technology; strong performance in mathematics and physics; reliable, team-oriented, precise and practical.
