Apprenticeship Train Traffic Controller 2027

2.5-year apprenticeship as a railway worker in train traffic control at DB InfraGO AG. You coordinate trains from a signal box. Locations: Bergisch Gladbach, Bonn, Brühl, Euskirchen, Herzogenrath, Köln, Stolberg (Rheinland) or Troisdorf. Vocational school in Cologne. Full-time, starting 01.09.2027.

• Your colleagues show you step by step how to operate the technology in a signal box correctly
• You learn when to press the right keys and buttons to switch e.g. signals (traffic lights) or points (transitions for changing tracks)
• You are often in contact with other staff in train traffic control and control centres as well as train drivers
• You are an important part of our team and give our passengers a safe and punctual journey on our trains

• You have (soon) successfully finished intermediate school (Mittlere Reife) and your school certificate is recognized in Germany
• Your German skills are at least B2 level
• You stay calm and keep an overview even in demanding situations
• You gladly take responsibility and work with focus
