Dual Study Program Electrical Engineering Planning 2027

3-year dual study program leading to a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering at DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH in Halle (Saale). The theory phases take place at bbw Hochschule in Berlin, and theory and practice alternate every 3 months. At least 50% of the university classes are held online. You start with an early practical phase at the company before the first theory phase begins on 1 October 2027. You learn the basics in maths, physics and business studies, signals and systems, electrical drives, control and circuit technology, measurement technology, digital electronics, project, quality and environmental management, and technical English.

• Main tasks in the areas of control and safety technology and overhead lines
• Take part in projects, e.g. planning electrical systems for construction projects
• Insight into the key areas of railway operations and rail infrastructure
• Office work and practical assignments on construction sites across Germany
• Training to understand complex processes, from order to quality control

• You have (soon) successfully completed your (technical) Abitur or have an equivalent vocational qualification (people with vocational qualifications must meet the enrolment requirements of bbw Berlin)
• Maths and physics are among your favourite subjects
• You are fascinated by technical connections and enjoy tinkering with electronic devices
• You are communicative and enjoy working in a team
• Working in a goal-oriented and independent way is a matter of course for you
