Geotechnical Engineer

We are looking for you as soon as possible as a temporary employee on behalf of DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH for an assignment as a geotechnical engineer (f/m/d) in Berlin. You work on site in the business unit, while your employment contract is with DB Zeitarbeit.

• Develop site-specific investigation programs
• Specify soil and rock samples and define relevant laboratory tests
• Derive abstracted ground models with characteristic soil parameters
• Prepare ground and foundation reports for buildings, bridges, platforms, signal and catenary masts and the base layer system of tracks and roads, including drainage information
• Prepare stability and deformation calculations in earthworks and foundation engineering using specialist software (e.g. GGU)
• Coordinate and provide geotechnical advice for earthworks and foundation projects
• Evaluate monitoring measurements (settlement, pore water pressure etc.) in building and civil engineering

• Completed degree in civil engineering with a focus on geotechnics or in geosciences with a focus on engineering geology
• Good knowledge of the relevant geotechnical standards and guidelines and of carrying out geotechnical control tests
• Class B driver's license and willingness for occasional construction site assignments and business trips
• Structured, independent and goal-oriented way of working and reliability in deadline tracking and, if needed, adjustment
• Quick comprehension, analytical and economic thinking
• High sense of responsibility, teamwork and flexibility
