About this Apprenticeship
We are looking for you as a Project Engineer for Overhead Line Systems, Energy Systems and 50Hz at Mannheim Junction (f/m/d) for DB InfraGO AG at the Karlsruhe location starting at the earliest possible date. As a motivated and open-minded team, we shape demanding infrastructure projects at Mannheim Junction with high technical, scheduling and economic responsibility. We work interdisciplinary, use agile methods and consistently keep financing, costs, deadlines, quality and the contribution to climate-friendly mobility in view. Each person contributes their own technical strengths and takes responsibility for their respective trade and the interfaces in the overall project. For the trade of overhead line systems, energy systems and 50 Hz we are looking for you as a Project Engineer to strengthen our team technically and actively shape the further development of the projects at Mannheim Junction. Our projects are in service phases 1 to 4 and include multi-track line extensions, the construction of grade-separated crossings and extensive adaptations to existing infrastructure.
What You'll Learn
- As a Project Engineer you are responsible for project management of complex overhead line systems, energy systems and 50Hz at Mannheim Junction and ensure contractual performance fulfilment regarding costs, deadlines, quality and control measures in the commissioned project phases
- You keep an eye on cross-trade dependencies in addition to the concerns of your own trade and ensure the timely involvement of all relevant partners
- You are also responsible for the proper, timely and budget-compliant use of financial resources in the project and coordinate bindingly with authorities, internal interfaces and involved third parties
- In doing so, you handle change orders in the planning and construction phase with technical expertise and with a view to costs, deadlines and contractual bases, and prepare and check calculations for own and purchased services
- You also analyse the project-specific task and plan the planning and construction process including the required resources
- Furthermore, you accompany the UiG process from analysis to solution finding and coordinate technical requirements with the framework conditions of the existing system and the applicable guidelines
- You keep track of all trades, the construction process, costs and financing
Requirements
- You have a successfully completed university degree in electrical engineering, construction engineering, civil engineering, equipment technology, construction management, infrastructure planning, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
- Alternatively to a degree, you have a successful qualification as a state-certified technician or master craftsperson (IHK, HWK) in the relevant fields with at least 3 years of general professional experience
- You also have several years of relevant experience in the planning or coordination of railway infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of overhead line systems, energy systems and 50 Hz is particularly relevant; a technical specialisation and/or completed training measures in one of these areas is an advantage
- You have comprehensive knowledge in the areas of HOAI, VOB and the applicable legal regulations and apply them confidently in practice
- Professional curiosity and the ability to independently analyze complex tasks are among your strengths
- In cooperation with internal and external stakeholders you act reliably and structured, and communication skills, confident appearance, teamwork and economic thinking round off your profile
