Career changer for retraining as machine operator with track journeys (BAMOWAG)

We are looking for you as a secondary vehicle operator / machine operator with track journeys at the Hoyerswerda location and will train you for this at DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH. After training, you will be deployed on changing construction sites in the Thuringia, Saxony, and Brandenburg region. You will receive training in the operation of rail-bound large construction machines (rail vehicles/machines or BAMOWAG) and will be deployed accordingly.

• Retraining full-time (39h/week) with theoretical and practical instruction phases
• Training lasts approximately 12 months in Beeskow or Königsborn
• Modern training with simulators and tablets
• Travel costs and accommodation during training covered by employer
• Calculate and track project costs, review and evaluate change orders, manage official and expert acceptances
• Permanent employment sought after successful training
• Operate secondary vehicles of BAMOWAG or GAF 100 series
• Work as secondary vehicle operator in track construction business or train to become BAMOWAG operator
• Ensure construction site supply via rail-bound material logistics, support track construction colleagues with vehicle operation
• Classic tasks of train formation and train preparation
• Participate in maintenance and care of vehicles

• Completed recognized vocational training in the commercial-technical field (e.g., construction equipment operator, civil engineer/road builder, professional driver, construction mechanic, mechatronics technician)
• At least 20 years old
• Proof of medical and psychological suitability for operational service (fitness assessed by company doctor during hiring)
• Shift and alternating service, including Sundays and holidays
• Willingness to travel regionally (assembly work)
• Willingness to help out on construction sites when needed
• Understanding of technical relationships and willingness to continue education
• Good German language skills in word and writing (minimum B2 level)
• Class B driver's license
