IT Project Portfolio Management Specialist (fixed-term)

Starting 1 August 2026, DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH is looking for an IT Project Portfolio Management Specialist (f/m/d) at its Berlin location. The position is fixed-term and full-time.

• You are responsible for successful, efficient and effective IT portfolio management, including overarching IT resource management
• You monitor and steer the content, schedule and budget delivery of IT projects within the IT portfolio
• You actively keep track of dependencies and work closely with the stakeholders involved, including IT project managers
• You significantly support our IT governance by defining, developing and ensuring compliance with IT portfolio and IT project management methods, and provide the corresponding standards and templates
• Within your responsibility, you ensure that projects carry out adequate project planning and control and that a seamless transition into IT operations is guaranteed
• You shape our IT roadmap in line with our IT strategy, taking existing guidelines, principles and templates into account
• Besides the relevant documentation and system and report maintenance, you ensure a complete and transparent flow of information with the necessary reports for everyone involved and affected at all levels
• You act as a close interface to IT requirements management, IT project managers, IT architects and the business departments at DB E&C, as well as dedicated specialist groups in the DB Group

• Your background is based on a degree as a (business) computer scientist, (business) scientist, or a qualification gained through comparable professional experience
• You bring several years of well-founded professional experience and expertise in IT portfolio management and IT resource management
• You also have extensive theoretical and practical knowledge in IT operations management, software development and/or software integration
• Ideally you have certification in portfolio and project management and/or IT frameworks (e.g. MoP, PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA Level B, Scrum, KANBAN, Lean Management, ITIL, COBIT)
• You win people over with your structured and independent way of working and your results-oriented, communicative manner
• You are skilled at interacting with stakeholders from specialist functions and management levels and proactively drive decision-making processes
• Your working language is German; basic English skills are an advantage
