Apprenticeship as Anesthesia Technical Assistant (ATA)

The training to become an ATA is designed for a wide range of tasks and activities in the anesthesia service and functional services such as pain clinic, recovery room, endoscopy, etc.

Preparation & monitoring of anesthesia Care of patients before procedures Handling of high-tech equipment Working in areas such as recovery room, pain clinic, operating room, diagnostics & endoscopy Practice: You rotate through all key areas of anesthesia and learn the complete anesthesia process – including emergency and diagnostic areas. Theory: Block lessons at the ATA School Stuttgart – directly linked to your practical assignments.

Minimum 17 years old Technical college entrance qualification (Fachabitur) or secondary school diploma German B2 Medical certificate & measles vaccination Sense of responsibility, concentration & enthusiasm for teamwork

Wide variety: surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, trauma surgery, diagnostic areas, emergency department, etc. Fixed contact persons per assignment Closely integrated theory and practice Excellent supervision by practice instructors A warm, well-coordinated team You can work as: ATA in anesthesia, practice instructor And develop into: department head, anesthesia management
