Apprenticeship as a medical device reprocessing specialist. You will work mainly in the AEMP and ensure that medical instruments are safe, sterile and ready for use. The training combines practical work in the operating room, AEMP, medical technology, hygiene and administration with classroom teaching at the Academy of the Reutlingen District Clinics.

Cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing medical devices; checking equipment and chemicals; computer-based documentation and quality checks; working in the AEMP; responsibility for safety and hygiene in the operating-room area.

At least 17 years old; intermediate secondary school certificate; technical interest; precise and careful working style; German at B2 level and measles protection.

Modern AEMP, insights into various surgical departments and thorough onboarding by a supportive team. After the examination, you receive DGSV certification and can work in hospitals, operating centers, AEMPs, medical technology companies and specialist sterile-goods processing centers. Further training and specializations are possible.
