Sensor Technology and EMC Engineer

At dormakaba, you take responsibility for electromagnetic compatibility and sensor technology in pedestrian access control systems and their components. The role covers test strategies, validation, component selection and collaboration with development and other departments.

• Take responsibility for EMC and sensor technology in pedestrian access control systems and components
• Define, plan and maintain EMC and sensor test strategies and EMC test plans for overall certification
• Conduct, evaluate and document EMC validation and compliance tests in internal and external laboratories
• Select, qualify and manage the life cycle of third party components such as sensors, power supplies and computer peripherals, and approve component changes
• Work closely with development, mechanical design, electrical planning, production, purchasing, quality management and product management
• Support system architecture and reliable integration of hardware components

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification such as a technician qualification, and several years of experience in electronics development or electromagnetic compatibility
• Sound knowledge of EMC standards and approval procedures (DIN EN 61000-6-2, -6-3), plus practical experience in interference suppression and improving interference resistance
• Understanding of system architectures and the integration of electronic assemblies
• Knowledge of sensor technologies such as ToF, LiDAR and radar
• Initiative, assertiveness, strong communication skills and team spirit
• Structured approach to work and a focus on solutions; SAFe experience in an agile environment is an advantage
• Very good German and good English, both spoken and written
• Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time for external EMC tests
