Hotel Locking Systems Technician

This technical role at dormakaba involves supporting hotel locking systems, handling customer enquiries and resolving faults. It includes installation, commissioning, technical support and customer visits throughout Germany.

• Handle customer enquiries by phone and in writing about dormakaba's hotel locking systems, particularly fault and repair reports in the technical ticketing system
• Identify and resolve faults, including at customer sites when needed
• Monitor compliance with service level agreements made with customers
• Carry out site surveys, assembly, installation and commissioning of hotel locking systems
• Configure software and hardware solutions for access systems, focusing on hotel locking systems
• Ensure system acceptance checks are completed and documented, and record the work performed to complete orders successfully
• Work with partners and subcontractors on projects
• Provide technical support to sales teams, partners and subcontractors throughout Germany

• Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician, electrician, electronics technician or technician, ideally specialising in systems integration, or comparable training with some initial work experience
• Good knowledge of operating systems (Windows), databases and networking
• Strong interest in IT and practical IT skills
• Interest in technical security products
• Communication skills, a strong customer focus and flexibility
• An independent, dependable and solution-focused approach to work
• Ideally, industry knowledge of hotel locking systems, access systems or building security
• Fluent German and good English, both spoken and written
• Willingness to travel throughout Germany
