Regional Category Manager for Castings and Forgings

Lead regional category management for castings and forgings at dormakaba. The role covers regional purchasing strategies for EURAF, supplier management, tenders and alignment with global requirements.

• Lead regional category management: ensure innovative purchasing informed by market knowledge and the availability of goods and services; take responsibility for the castings and forgings category
• Manage regional targets: define, implement and monitor category targets and key performance indicators in line with global requirements
• Develop and implement regional purchasing strategies for EURAF, including ongoing market analysis and coordination with the Global Category Manager
• Manage contracts, develop suppliers and incorporate local requirements
• Combine regional purchasing needs and ensure alignment between global direction and local input
• Work with internal teams, suppliers and external partners
• Lead tenders and strategic sourcing projects, including negotiations, while meeting compliance requirements and identifying efficiency improvements
• Provide market insights, trends and supplier data to support global strategies
• Ensure global processes are followed, aligned and transparent

• Completed degree in a business or technical field, such as business administration or industrial engineering, or comparable vocational training
• At least 3 years of experience in a comparable strategic purchasing role focused on castings and forgings
• Proven success in conducting global tenders and negotiations in an international setting
• Experience managing relationships with stakeholders and working with international teams
• Strong communication and networking skills
• Very good spoken and written German and English
• Strong negotiation and analytical thinking skills
