Caretaker, Building Services, Berlin, ID: 15802

Permanent full-time caretaker role in building services at Dussmann Service Deutschland in Berlin. Operate building systems, carry out minor repairs and support building services and events. Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, in a two-shift system with working hours of 06:00 to 14:45 and 10:15 to 19:00. On-call duties also include weekends and public holidays.

• Operate building systems.
• Carry out inspection rounds as part of requested building services.
• Make minor repairs to doors and windows and carry out minor maintenance.
• Handle small moves and rearrange furniture.
• Prepare events according to the customer's plan, including modular seating and technical setup.
• Maintain paved areas and green spaces as instructed.
• Take on on-call duties, including weekends and public holidays.

• Completed vocational training in a trade or equivalent vocational training.
• Some practical knowledge of facilities management is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and computer aided facilities management systems.
• Good German language skills.
• A proactive approach to work.
• Qualified to act as a lift attendant under TRBS 2181 and 3121.
• Qualification as an electrician for specified tasks (EffT) is an advantage.
• A confident manner and good communication skills.
• A class 3 or B driving licence is desirable.
