Legal Counsel Data Protection & AI

Legal Counsel for data protection and artificial intelligence at the group headquarters in Berlin. Full-time, permanent.

• Advising the company on data protection questions and related topics in information technology and digital law
• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts related to data protection, artificial intelligence and information technology
• Creating and reviewing privacy notices, data protection documentation and other data-protection-relevant documents
• Accompanying and supporting internal audits and compliance checks in data protection and artificial intelligence
• Contributing to the implementation, development and governance of data protection and artificial intelligence concepts and internal policies
• Working with departments, information technology, management and other relevant stakeholders
• Monitoring national and European legal developments in data protection, digital and artificial intelligence law
• Deriving practical recommendations for legally secure implementation of regulatory requirements

• Completed law degree with state exam, bachelor's, master's or a comparable qualification
• Experience in data protection law, artificial intelligence law, information technology law or related areas of law, ideally in a law firm, corporate legal department or consulting
• Understanding of information technology processes, digital business models and technological contexts
• Ability to translate legal requirements into practical technical and operational action plans
• A structured, self-reliant and solution-oriented way of working
• Skill in legal advice, audience-appropriate communication and working with different stakeholder groups
• Very good German skills in speech and writing at level C1 at minimum, as well as strong analytical and advisory skills
